THE KEY TO A FLAWLESS MAKE-UP ROUTINE!

This post is sponsored by Olay, but all opinions are my own.

Skincare is the key to any flawless makeup routine! As many of you know I am skincare enthusiast and I stress to everyone the importance of healthy skin. For those who have followed my skincare journey know I have a very strict routine however, when it comes to products I am always willing to try new things.

At the moment I'm really loving the Olay Luminous Whips Moisturizer it's my go-to moisturizer every morning and before I apply makeup. It doesn't feel sticky or tacky and most importantly it keeps my face hydrated without the greasy look. I have very dry skin in the colder months but with a full face of makeup I can usually end up looking like a grease ball at the end of the day if I don't use the right moisturizer. That's a no-no! So I am super excited to have found this gem it makes makeup days easier. Immediately after applying, my skin feels smooth; like I've just applied a primer and because of the unique formula it leaves my skin dewy, not oily throughout the day. Not to mention, it contains Pearl Optics so it gives me that radiant glow that I am absolutely crazy about! I get so many comments and questions about my glowy, radiant skin and I have to say this product is a new staple to achieve that look!

I have been using Olay Luminous Whips for the past 2 weeks and my skin is in love! After cleansing I dab 4 nickle sized spots on my face and gently rub it in. Like every product, consistency is key but as of right now the Luminous Whips is a new favourite for these reasons:

  1. smoother, softer skin
  2. hydrating + lightweight
  3. gives a natural glow
  4. not sticky, tacky or greasy!

Depending on your skin, or what you're specifically looking for in a moisturizer, there's an Olay Whip moisturizer for you!

Olay Regenerist Whip
delivers a rush of hydration for visibly smoother skin and a rejuvenated complexion

Olay Total Effects Whip
the ultimate 7-in-1 multitaskers for brighter, healthier skin

Olay Luminous Whip
evens skin tone, and illuminates the skin from within

90's Chic

My first post of 2018...can you believe it!? I thought I'd start it off right by slaying this 80's/90's look. If I was to describe my style I would definitely call it sporty-chic with an obvious influence of the late 80's early 90's. I'm really trying to step up my instagram feed this year with regular posts and I really want to showcase my style. For so long I struggled with who I was, what I liked especially in the fashion department so this year I'm really trying to represent me and all the girls who have similar styles. That is honestly a topic I should talk about on its own...it gets deep so hopefully I can do that in the near future. Anyway, I decided to wear this fit to a NYX beauty event that took place in Toronto, it was a super chill vibe so I thought the outfit was appropriate.

South Africa - Capetown!

As you all may know I love to travel, so in the month of March I headed to the Motherland, Africa for a 2 week adventure! I went specifically to South Africa, Capetown. How & Why? I was invited by onelovetravel.club to host this trip and I was able to invite all my subscribers and followers to come with me! I will talk more about onelovetravelclub and when I do a dedicated post on how to plan the perfect vacation/getaway!

It's crazy because a year ago I spoke it into existence that I would be in Africa in the year 2017 and The Most High made it happen. I was actually going to go to Ghana (still will), but it played out that Capetown was the place for me to be. I had the most amazing time, the food was impeccable and the views were top notch, something I could only dream of but this time it was reality!

WHERE WE STAYED

110 De Waterkant - 3 bedroom house with 2 terraces, 3 bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen, wifi centrally located and very safe!
Sun Square Capetown - Standard hotel, location was ok, pool, restaurant located on site, safe and friendly staff
Aquilla Private Game Reserve - Luxury(ish) Hotel on a game reserve/safari, beautiful swimming pools, spa(amazing), atvs, horseback riding, a lot of bugs if you stay in a cabin!

Dinner at a local township, partying and eating dinner the local way!

Table Mountain - best views ever!

VOLUNTEER DAY - THE MOST MEMORABLE DAY!

When you join onelovetravel.club one thing the founder Chole, makes sure of is that there is a 'give back' volunteer portion to the trip. It is the most rewarding experience ever and it was honestly the best part of my trip. We held a fitness/self-confidence day for a Primary School in the Bo-Kaap neighbourhood.  The kids were so excited to meet us. They were so full of energy and so much fun to be around. I learned a lot from them and I fell in the love with one girl. She was so precious...she asked me to be her mom LOL! She could not stop giving me hugs and even asked if I could have her number, I swear I wanted to take her home or at least keep in contact with her. She made me cry... happy tears!!! Ughh

I've always wanted to give back but sometimes its scary blindly giving money away to charities and not being 100% on where your money goes. This was a totally different experience and I knew exactly where my efforts were going. Chole also made sure a portion of the final cost of the trip went back to a local Township that experienced a fire where homes were completely destroyed. The township was in need of supplies for the men, women and children. Chole went out and used that money to buy needed supplies for the community and delivered everything first hand!

Overall, my experience in South Africa was UNFORGETTABLE and I would love to return again soon. Please check out PART 1 and PART 2 of my South Africa, Capetown Vlog to see how everything really went down!

All Pink Everything

Finally, my second post! I really need to find me someone to take my pictures lol. Nonetheless, bae and I went out this past Sunday to an outlet somewhere in Austin, Texas for a day of shopping. I personally didn't buy anything because I'm trying to save more money and spend on other things that I think are more important; like travelling! I plan to go all over the world this year... GOALS! Anyway, I honestly can't remember the name of the outlet we went too but it was pretty nice. I decided to dress comfortable, casual but chic because that is my style. PINK is definitely not my favourite color and not a color I gravitate toward but I loved how soft and neutral these shades were. Together I thought it looked pretty dope and I'm really loving monochromatic looks these days!

OUTFIT DEETS

Top: Sirens   -  Joggers: Forever 21  -  Shoes: NIKE Huaraches   -  Bag: Aldo Shoes

So I posted this picture on Instagram and I had a few people mention where my butt (ass) came from. Literally, I woke up like this lol. I haven't been working out and there's nothing artificial about it. I guess it's just angles hunny! Trying to work with what the man above created for me lol.

For these shoes right here, the NIKE Huaraches you have to make sure to size up a full size. They are pretty tight on the feet and will be uncomfortable if you try to get your true size. Other than that I LOVE these shoes and own about 4 pair.

Love & Basketball

Love & basketball has to be one of my favourite movies of all time. Growing up that was my fairytale. Play basketball, track, or soccer and find the love of my life. Of course not everything works out the way you vision it as a child lol...
