It's crazy because a year ago I spoke it into existence that I would be in Africa in the year 2017 and The Most High made it happen. I was actually going to go to Ghana (still will), but it played out that Capetown was the place for me to be. I had the most amazing time, the food was impeccable and the views were top notch, something I could only dream of but this time it was reality!

Dinner at a local township, partying and eating dinner the local way! Table Mountain - best views ever! VOLUNTEER DAY - THE MOST MEMORABLE DAY!When you join onelovetravel.club one thing the founder Chole, makes sure of is that there is a 'give back' volunteer portion to the trip. It is the most rewarding experience ever and it was honestly the best part of my trip. We held a fitness/self-confidence day for a Primary School in the Bo-Kaap neighbourhood. The kids were so excited to meet us. They were so full of energy and so much fun to be around. I learned a lot from them and I fell in the love with one girl. She was so precious...she asked me to be her mom LOL! She could not stop giving me hugs and even asked if I could have her number, I swear I wanted to take her home or at least keep in contact with her. She made me cry... happy tears!!! Ughh
I've always wanted to give back but sometimes its scary blindly giving money away to charities and not being 100% on where your money goes. This was a totally different experience and I knew exactly where my efforts were going. Chole also made sure a portion of the final cost of the trip went back to a local Township that experienced a fire where homes were completely destroyed. The township was in need of supplies for the men, women and children. Chole went out and used that money to buy needed supplies for the community and delivered everything first hand!
